 Hemali Bhuta was Creative India Visiting Artist at YSP during the summer of 2012 and has a particular interest in making work in response to environments and their materials. Bhuta spent time walking around and getting to know the Bretton Estate, becoming drawn to the trees and their related folklore.

Speed Breakers (2012) are the roots of a fallen beech tree, whose bark was traditionally thought to ward off snakes, cast in bronze and installed among the prominent tree root in Oxley Bank. Bhuta created a special limited edition bronze 'root' from the same beech tree, available exclusively at YSP.

Click and Collect

Click and Collect is available from our Weston Shop. Please allow 2-4 working days from placement of order and await notification that goods are ready, before travelling to collect. No YSP ticket is required to visit the Weston building. Collection times are as follows: 

Tuesday through to Sunday - 10am to 4pm only.

Orders will be kept for 14 days from notification that they are available to collect. After this time, orders will be returned and refunded automatically.
