Mark Hearld x Leach Pottery Swan Small Platter

Hand thrown platter by lead potter at Leach Pottery, Roelof Uys in a rough stoneware clay with high iron content from St. Agnes in Cornwall and decorated by Mark Hearld using paper stencils, slips, sgraffito mark making onto wet clay.

These platters were both thrown and decorated in the original studio of Bernard Leach at Leach pottery in St. Ives, Cornwall. The two glazes used; Shino (terracotta) and Yin Chin (darker) are from original recipies from Bernard Leach and Svend Bayer.
