Sean Scully: Dale

This limited edition aquatint print was produced specifically for YSP to celebrate the Sean Scully exhibition 'Inside Outside'. The print relates to the Landline series of paintings, which Scully began in 1999 and is his interpretations of horizon lines and the relationships between sky, sea, land. A selection of these paintings can be seen in Longside Gallery, alongside sculpture and works on paper.

Sean Scully was born in Dublin, Ireland in 1945, and grew up in London before leaving for the United States in 1972 on a scholarship to Harvard University. He now lives between New York, London and Germany. Inside Outside presented recent and new works in our Longside Gallery and the open air, including two monumental sculptures, in Lower Park and the Country Park, made especially for the past exhibition.
