These A5 mantlepiece cards have been created exclusively for Yorkshire Sculpture Park, and are taken from an original series of Coffee-lift Etching and Drypoints on 100% Sisal Paper on Rivere Paper titled Lexicon, featured in the headline exhibition, William Kentridge: The Pull of Gravity. The series of original works can be seen in the Underground Gallery  –

William Kentridge is known for his work across a range of media, including drawing, animated films, theatre and opera productions. His practice questions grand narratives from history, politics, science, literature and music, alongside an ongoing interrogation of the legacy of colonialism. His work references avant-garde movements such as Dada and Surrealism in his celebration of the illogical and darkly humorous.
